Sunny Health & Fitness Treadmill Review

The Sunny Health and Fitness Treadmill is a solid choice for a mid-range automatic treadmill. It has many of the features missing in some of the less expensive budget treadmills including multiple incline levels, handrail speed controls, and a large digital console with preset workouts and a tablet holder.

The Sunny Treadmill is a bit larger and heavier than some of the more compact budget treadmills, but does have and easy folding mechanism and soft-drop system to make unloading and storing it easier.

Pros

Good value – While the Sunny Health and Fitness treadmill is a bit more expensive than the extreme budget options such as the The Weslo Cadence G 5.9, it is more sturdy and has more features than these cheaper options. When quality is compared to price, it emerges as a solid but affordable choice. This model also includes a 1 year warranty for the frame, and a 90 day warranty for the internal parts.

Feature rich – The Sunny Health and Fitness Treadmill has a wide range of features for its price point. These include adjustable incline levels, handrail speed controls, pre-programmed workouts, and a large digital display with a tablet holder.

The digital display is more robust than those included with budget treadmills, and reports time, distance, calories burned and has a BMI calculator and heartrate monitor.

Manual mode – While this treadmill is automatic by default, it also includes manual and power saving modes.

Easy to assemble – The Sunny Health and Fitness Treadmill is easy to assemble, and only a few screws need to be tightened to put it together.

Adjustable incline – The Sunny Health and Fitness Treadmill is one of the cheapest treadmills with adjustable incline options, and has three different incline settings that can be used to adjust the difficulty of workouts. The incline settings are slight though, with the max setting being about 6 degrees.

Energy efficient – At its regular settings the Sunny Health and Fitness treadmill is pretty energy efficient, however a power saving mode is also included. Expect no significant increase on your electric bill, even with daily use.

Smooth and Quiet – The motor included in this treadmill runs very quiet, and the belt moves at a smooth, constant pace even at high speeds.

Cons

Low incline settings – While this model does have an adjustable incline, the highest incline setting is only for 6 degrees. Runners who desire moderate to high incline levels should look elsewhere.

Lack of shock absorption system – While such a system shouldn’t be expected in cheaper treadmills such as the Sunny Health and Fitness, it is not included in this one so it is important to respect the weight limit.

Final Verdict

While it is a little more expensive than many of the budget treadmills, in our opinion it’s worth paying the extra for the Sunny Health and Fitness treadmill. It is sturdier and better made than the cheaper models, and comes with many of the features that are found in treadmill quality gyms.

If saving space isn’t a prime concern and you’re looking for a decent starter treadmill it is hard to go wrong with this model. We give the Sunny Health and Fitness Treadmill 5/5 stars, as it is the clear leader in its price range.
